Let me start this review of by saying that I never read books that are written in third person unless I have too (For high school/ University). But when I heard about this book, I had to read it no matter what because I love so many of the authors that had a part in writing this novel and this collaborative approach to writing a novel had be curious on how it was all going to piece together.
Verity Michaels is stuck working an office job, her boss is creepy, she works too much and she had to stop trying to achieve her dream of becoming a photographer. But one night changed her life forever, it all changed when she shared a taxi with a sexy, tattooed stranger. The wild taxi ride causes Verity to becoming suspicious but intrigued about the sexy tattooed stranger but she has also jumped to the conclusion that he’s a felon. When the sexy stranger, aka Hudson Fenn leaves Verity that night, she doesn’t expect to see him again but Hudson comes back into her life.
Verity hasn’t stopped thinking about Hudson since the night they met, he makes her swoon and her girl parts are all for it. She claimed that he was a felon but there is more than meets the eye to Hudson Fenn. Their story is hilarious and mysterious and it has some sexy scenes. Hudson and Verity have some great back and forth messages on twitter which made their courtship even more entertaining to read.
I really liked Hudson and Verity’s story. It was lighthearted and I was laughing all the way through. This was definitely a fun and refreshing read. The ending got a bit bizarre but that all worked with the story. This was a great read and I really enjoyed it. Every chapter from author to author flowed on nicely and fit perfectly into the story but it keeps you on your toes, you don’t know what to expect from each author. It included some great work from authors I already love but also helped me discover new authors that I will be looking at for my future reads.
