Title: Groupie
Series: Juked #2
Author: M.E. Carter
Genre: Sports Romance Standalone
Groupie
/ˈɡro͞opÄ“/
a person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.
See example Tiffany Wendel:
Whore. Slut. Cleat Chaser. I’m used to the names so they don’t bother me. These are my boys. My friends. So what if I like to have dirty sex with them? My body is no one’s business but mine.
Why is Rowen Flanigan making me re-think how I live my life? Making me question my choices? He’s only a rookie.
Rook·ie
/ˈro͝okÄ“/
a member of an athletic team in his first full season in that sport.
See example Rowen Flanigan:
Player. Son of a legend. Rookie.
Sure, I’d heard the stories of the groupies before. Who hasn’t? I’ve just been more sheltered than my teammates. So what? I didn’t expect her to be smart. Witty. Kind. She brings me to my knees in every way – except one.
That part? I’m saving until the time is right.
So how in the hell did I end up falling for a Groupie like Tiffany? And how in the hell is this going to work when everyone at my job has had a piece of the one thing I haven’t?
"This is the kind of book that makes you want to throw your kindle....no, literally. I threw my damn kindle across the room. But thank baby Jesus it didn't break, because DAYUM! Groupie just made me love M.E. Carter even more!" –Jessica Prince, Author
4.5 stars to Groupie!
Groupie is the second book in the Juked series but you can 100% read this as a standalone. From reading the first book, I had no idea if I was going to end up liking Tiffany but I really did like her by the end of Groupie. I think Tiffany is a character unlike any I have read about before. Tiffany is an independent heroine who acts like a bad girl but has a good heart. She doesn’t take any crap said about her and let it hurt her, she loves being herself. Rowen was a sweet character and I knew I was going to love him from the start. I loved how these two characters were so completely different but they are still so right for each other. I loved how these two connected and I felt their chemistry. I really connected with both characters. I think Rowen gave Tiffany exactly what she needed, respect and unconditional love. I really liked how we got to see their friendship grow instead of just reading about their sexy scenes. These two characters are really made for each other and I really enjoyed reading about their story. I loved how this story took you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and you could really feel how the characters were feeling.
I think that ME Carter is writing better and better with each novel and I can’t wait for more. I would highly recommend this book.
