REVIEW:
I read this book yesterday once I was able to get my preorder from Amazon Australia and WOW! I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint, it has to be one of my favourite books this year. I loved reading about Lavender and Kodiak’s story.
As promised, it was full of angst that tugged at my heart strings and made me fall in love with the characters even more. There are so many things I want to talk about but I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll keep it brief but I struggle with the same anxiety Kodiak struggles with in this book and it felt so good to read about someone going through the same things that I do and being able to deeply relate to him. It made me love him even more.
I also have to mention how HOT this story was if we go past the angst…. Lavender and Kodiak had steaming chemistry and some of their scenes together were so hot… you won’t be disappointed.
And of course, I HAVE to mention how much I LOVED reading Alex, Violet, Lainey and Rook as parents. Obviously I’ve read them all be parents before through the Pucked and All In series but reading about them all be parents to teenage/adult kids really made me laugh and love them even more (I didn’t think it was possible). I also loved reading about all the relationships the second generation kids have with each other. But if you haven’t read the Pucked or All In series, this can 100% be read as a standalone!
Also a special mention to River, I loved his side story and really related to him.
Overall, I LOVED this book and it is one of my favourites of 2020 and these characters will hold a special place in my heart. I think I’ll definitely be going back and rereading the scenes I highlighted
