4 Stars for Sky High!

When I heard about this book I was excited because I loved Rock Bottom and I can honestly say that Josephine Traynor didn’t disappoint! I loved Sky High!

I really loved Lilly and Baxter’s story. From their high school days to the present, we as the readers get taken on the journey of these characters that at times get’s quite tough but throughout these tough times, there is always an underlying sense of love, hope and friendship and of course there is always some suspense to keep everyone on their toes. An extra perk or fans of Rock Bottom was getting to see a little peak at Reece and Madelyn, which I loved.

Both Lilly and Baxter are strong characters and they make you fall in love with them straight away. They’re perfect for each other and I really loved reading about their relationship.

I loved both of their characters and their story. I would highly recommend!

MEET THE AUTHOR:

Josephine Traynor is very good at keeping secrets - she’s been a closeted writer for years, but only got brave enough last year to show her writer friend a small chunk of what she’d written.

She’s a mother of two small boys and only told her husband about her book when it was completed. God knows what he thought she was doing on the computer for all those hours!

Josephine’s a lover of tea and has a thing for all things that smell like vanilla. She loves a good book that makes her laugh and has heaps of character growth. She aims to write books that inspire, cause sore stomach muscles and have memorable characters for all the right reasons.

Josephine Traynor is not her real name. The pen name is derived from Josephine being her favorite girl's name, and Traynor is inspired by Will Traynor from Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. His message from that book was for everyone to be brave in this world and to make their mark. Josephine is now living her dream of bringing her imaginary friends to life and having readers fall in love with them. She’s doing this for her, her dream is to be a published author, what’s yours and go after it.

4 Stars for A Quarter to Twelve.

I should start off by saying that this wasn't my first Josephine Traynor novel. After reading Rock Bottom and loving it, I was excited to see what was next for Josephine Traynor. A Quarter to Twelve didn’t disappoint. This was a really funny, sweet and sexy romance. I laughed a lot throughout this book. I didn’t want to put this book down. The plot was good but I just thought that things happened a bit quickly. If you’re ok with that then you’ll love this book even more. This book has the perfect amount of sweet scenes and a little mix of drama that keeps you interested. I loved watching the friendship build and the wait to find out who TrickyRicky is.

Both Ava and Patrick have great personalities and they are both struggling with insecurities that make them relatable and real. I thought this was a cute funny romance that puts you in a good mood. I think this would be a great book to read if you were just wanting to read a lighthearted sweet romance to put you in a great mood. I would recommend.

I’m a writer with a dream of sharing the characters I see in my head with others and have you fall in love with them too. I have been a writer since I was a little girl and finally got brave enough to show my work to a friend. My friend asked for more and that, in turn, resulted in me showing a couple more friends, who told me this book needs to be published.

On the other side of the pen name, I’m a mother of two and that’s a big part of why I’m using a pen name. This is MY career choice, not theirs. It’s not about being ashamed of my work, far from it, I am super proud but I have a responsibility. The other reason is due to wanting to keep the focus on my work. For the lack of a better pun, I’m an open book, ask me anything, but I think my books are far more interesting than I am.

I think about writing and characters all the time. I love nothing more than sitting down at my computer, or even with my pen and notebook, to get my imagination down on paper. I try to create characters that feel like friends, people that the reader would want to know. I aim to write stories that not only give you a laugh, but have you thinking about your own life.

About the actual name – I’d chosen another name and found out that there is another author out there with the same name. Back to the drawing board, I chose my favourite name – which was Josephine. As for the Traynor part, I’d just finished reading Jojo Moyes’ Me Before You and Will Traynor’s choices and suggestions about living to the fullest and without regret was another push for me to follow my dreams.
